Coach It & The Self 60
The Self 60 – Professional Development Mind/Set was first compiled as a guide for business school undergraduates to take into account before they entered the business world either through internships or full time jobs.
It serves as a cheat sheet for them to get a quick glance at all of the attributes and habits they should strive to carry with them when they enter the workforce, or any environment, for that matter, where applicable. As has been mentioned before, most times there’s a way to transfer lessons from leadership to your personal life and vice versa.
The Self 60 is a living document, so items are rotated in and out accordingly. That’s what this particular podcast series will do for you.
Take a listen below.

#tbt - If your environment doesn't reconcile to your energy and urgency, seek out those that do. If it doesn't, you limit yourself by waiting on others to grow, develop, create, expand, work, hustle, grind, etc. #leadership #coaching #goals #you lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/MsIGqK2hEx
#tbt - It's amazing both how powerful our emotions can be and how much we can lose to then. Be sure the emotion behind your intentions doesn't blind people to the powerful message you want to share. #leadership #coaching #society #emotionalintelligence lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/G0ojFCn9Up
#tbt - There are things and people around us that, if we can contribute to them, can move forward with their own greatness and into their own success. What are you influencing and moving in that direction? #leadership #coaching #society #success lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/ICUozC4oCM
In a world...that's usually obsessed with finding and coining the newest buzzwords, stressing more the facade (the word) instead of the substance behind it (what makes you tick), do what works for you and keeps you going. #innovation #leadership #doyou ow.ly/ELaj30qQnqm
#tbt - Whether with regard to yet another vicious chapter in American racial injustice or the pandemic paralyzing our economy: People will remember what you did for others today and where you stood. #society #accountability lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/UF6MVuyW4c
Even during this pandemic & the state of our country, I still hear too often, "Well, that's the way it's always been done." or "That's the way our industry does it." There STILL isn't enough of a sense of urgency. Not all "companies know." #innovation ow.ly/IqF730qNHWD
Does your playbook/script alert go off when you hear certain companies' standard, cookie- cutter statements during these times? How about your own company and leaders? How are they REALLY stepping up? #leadership #socialjustice #createwhatsneeded ow.ly/mao630qMWZu
#tbt - We go through the day mostly on cruise control, but we need to be cognizant and proactive in what we want (and need) to share with others -- especially during these times. #leadership #coaching #expression lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/ugUv7Qz7Xh
What do you think? As an example, in your experience, how many times have you maybe seen a leader get accolades from the outside because of their title while internally there was actually not much to show by way of leadership? #leadership #coaching ow.ly/aYxF30qMDVI
I reference McGonigal's book in my Emotional Intelligence presentations. Emotional reactions and stress operate in the same vein of our evolutionary arrival tools. What can you take away from her work? #selfcare #stress #emotionalintelligence ow.ly/Pk9v30qLSIP
Whether you're an Intro-, Extro-, or fall somewhere in between as an Ambivert, how have you seen your habits, attributes, and responses adjust during the pandemic and widespread quarantining? #introvert #extrovert #ambivert bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
#tbt - Taking care of yourself is oftentimes essential for your sanity. Self-care is both important and a proactive exercise. If you don't get what you need, others can't get the best of what you can provide. #leadership #coaching #selfcare lnkd.in/e4SzSkb pic.twitter.com/dSPqneGVtF
The world lacks accountability. But based on Mr. Cooper's take here, how can we keep people accountable without destroying them & their reputation? How can the lesson be taught without burning the bridge? #communication #society #racerelations ow.ly/IH6f30qK6y8
If you work in #HR, which insights (a) have you picked up and (b) has your company learned? Now, which do you believe will be a passing craze of a lesson, and which do you believe might actually stick? #leadership #workplace #organizations ow.ly/u5Pt30qJG8k
I can only imagine how my boys will describe me, knowing how much I love working with my clients. "Are you serious? Do you realize that my dad wears velour sweatpants with a dress shirt and boat shoes? And he changed your life?'" #leadership #family ow.ly/jjUh30qJber
